Farmers had been holding their ground, demanding changes to the e-token system used for the procurement of moong (green gram) at the support price and for fertilizer distribution. During a meeting with a group of ministers at the Mantralaya, an agreement was reached to procure 60 percent of the produce from every eligible farmer and to suspend the e-token system.
