  • Bengal Public Safety Control, The West Bengal government has passed the ‘Bengal Public Safety and Control of Anti-Social Activities Bill, 2026’ to curb rioters and anti-social activities. Under this legislation, there is a provision for preventive detention for up to 12 months without trial to check such activities.
  • Three crore people have recive homes, Union Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Gandhinagar on Sunday. While speaking in Gujarat, Shah presented the BJP’s perspective and also praised PM Modi. Home Minister Amit Shah stated that for 70 years after independence, these 70 crore people kept trying to understand what their share in that freedom was. The Narendra Modi government has ensured that they receive their rightful share; today, three crore people have received homes, and one crore houses have been built for the homeless.
  • Twisha Sharma murder case, Thieves broke into the home of retired judge Giribala Singh—an accused in the death case of actress-model Twisha Sharma—during the night. They attempted to steal jewelry and a file containing documents; however, upon hearing the siren of a ‘Charlie’ patrol vehicle in the area, they abandoned the items and fled. Giribala’s brother was present in the house at the time of the incident, news on 28 June.

Near Indira Crossing, close to the Circuit House, leaders and workers of the ‘Anjaan Aadmi Party’—wearing black caps and carrying black flags—suddenly appeared in front of the convoy.
