Citizenship granted under the CAA in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari stated that the hearings on citizenship applications filed under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) would be concluded soon. He said that the process of issuing certificates would be expedited. He noted that 2.30 lakh people had applied for citizenship under the CAA, out of which certificates were issued to 23,000 individuals.
